Dr. Elahinia received the second place award of $5000 in the University of Toledo business plan competition for an intervertebral fusion device.

Minal Bhadane was featured in the AIAA/ASME e-newsletter in the student spotlight.

December 2010:

Minal Bhadane received the first place award of $10,000 in the University of Toledo business plan competition for the hybrid active ankle foot orthosis.

December 2010:

Cory Chapman received the honorable mention award of $500 in the University of Toledo business plan competition for the spine implant.

December 2010:

Andrew Puffer received the best Teaching Assistant Award from MIME department.

November 2010:

Dr. Elahinia received the 2010 Gary Anderson Early Achievement Award, presented by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

June 2010:

Dr. Elahinia as part of a multi-institution (Case Western, Cleveland Clinic, NASA, Norman Nobel, and University of Toledo) award received a 3 million dollar award to establish a nitinol commercialization accelerator.

February 2010:

Walter Anderson was recognized UT University Transportation Center Student of the Year with a $1000 award as the student of the year in Washington D.C.
